9:16 am	Getting A Student Loan My name is Ellen and I am 20 years old. After graduating from high school, I decided to help my parents with the bills and get 2 part-time jobs. That was the first time that I worked 2 jobs at the same time. That was also the first time that I would go home tired every single day. However, the pay is worth the effort. Everytime I give cash to my mother, she smiles at me and thanks me for helping her. My mother has had some rough years in her life. My father left her for another woman and my mother had to keep our family afloat. It's a good thing that I and my brother, Jason, are not the type of kids who rebelled against their parents because they left them. Jason and I are mature for our age, I think. Jason is now in middle school and is also working at a nearby diner so he can support himself. He loves to buy books for himself and with the low income that we have, our mother cannot buy that for him anymore. My father, who I call Dave now, is still supporting us with some of his money which is a good thing. I am planning of getting into college and I cannot do it without student loans without cosigner. I have been reading about student loans without co-signer and students loans for bad credit and good credit, just to know more about what I am getting into. That is a loan, after all, and I need to pay for it eventually. I hope I can go back to school soon so I can find a good permanent job and give more money to my mother and Jason. (Comment on this)

According to the web, carpentry is a person that is skilled in crafts, creating furniture and other objects – usually made of wood. It involves how to finish a basement. It is a skill that is gained through experience. In the US, there is no required formal training. Ever since we were kids, Jack has always enjoyed in the company of our father's tools and scraps of wood in the backyard. He used to create small trucks, name plates, buckets, etc. He is very creative. When he was 10, he even told me that he loved creating objects more than doing schoolwork. When we were both in high school, for the only girlfriend that she had back then – Lisa – his gifts were his work. The family adored Lisa, she is very respectful and modest and Jack loved him so much. When they got into college, they broke up for 2 years but got back together. Now, Jack and Lisa have been married for 3 years. Of course, Lisa has kept all of Jack's gifts to him when they were still in high school. Right now, Jack is working on finishing a basement. It's his anniversary gift for our parents. He has been working on it for 3 months now. He is working with my husband, Mark. They have become very good friends and I am happy to see them work together really well. I am happy to see my brother express his love for our parents through his passion. (Comment on this)

10:19 am	Designing My Bachelor's Pad I am a 26-year-old bachelor. My name is June. I recently got promoted and will be able to move in to my new home next month. I am paying for a small condominium unit in an area near my job. It is my biggest investment so far. Most of my salary goes to my home and this is also the reason why I still cannot buy a car. Next month, my plan is to hire an interior designer to design my home and start buying furniture. For my bedroom, I will a single-sized bed made and it will have a pull-out under it. My sister or bestfriend might come over to visit so it's good to have an 'extra' bed for her. I am also going to buy cheap blinds for the windows. I want to keep everything simple and the cost of just designing the unit is too high. I need to stick to my budget by getting cheap blinds items. Of course, the interior designer will help me in choosing the style of patio door blinds. I have done my share of visiting thrift shops for items that are durable and still look good. For the living room, I will be getting a sofabed so I can maximize the space and be able to have more people sleep in my unit after a party or a late dinner. I really want to invite my friends to my pad so I will have to prepare space for them. I have recently bought a 42” LCD and I am very happy about it! I love the images and the sound it makes especially when I am playing PS3. Luisa, after working for 10 years in the US, has developed an affair in the US with an American. She has 2 sons back home and continues to send them money for their education. His husband learned about his secret relationship and has also found himself a girlfriend. The second protagonist, Christy, is a single mother and has a daughter who lives with her mother. She plans to wait for her citizenship in the US and bring her daughter, Maxxie, to the US. She knows that they can have a better future in the US. It's a tearjerker and it reminds me so much about my own family. I have watched the movie a lot of times and I see my mother in Luisa. She is so hardworking and only thinks of her daughter's future. The pet toys that I buy for Max the poodle are also pre-owned. Most of the clothes in my closet were bought in second hand stores. I love buying clothes from those stores because they are unique and you are sure that you will not find anyone wearing the same top as you.
